Reds prospect steals 100th base of the season

Perhaps you've heard the name Billy Hamilton?  If not, you will someday soon.
Hamilton is the Reds top prospect in A-ball, and to call him "speedy" is perhaps an understatement. Last season, he stole 103 bases at Dayton over the course of the season.
This year, he's about to eclipse that mark in just over half a season.
On Monday night, Hamilton stole two bases in a 3-2 loss. Those two stolen bags gave him 100, and he's only played in 78 games.
In case you're wondering, the minor league record for stolen bases in a year is 145, set by Vince Coleman in 1983. Hamilton is on pace to shatter that record.
Hamilton has never played above A-ball in his life, so don't expect to see him in Cincinnati this year, but the Reds do have a plan to bring the 21-year-old shortstop up eventually. There is current talk of a promotion to AA ball.
