CINCINNATI -- The Reds announced Wednesday that pitchers and catchers will report to Goodyear, Ariz., for the start of spring training on Feb. 18, while the position players report five days later and the whole squad will hold its first workout on Feb. 24.
The Reds play their first Cactus League game on March 3 against their Goodyear complex mates, the Cleveland Indians. The Reds and Indians will play six times during spring training, including Cincinnati's final game in Arizona on April 2. The Reds will play two exhibition games against Toronto in Montreal on April 3-4. They will have just one off day during their spring training schedule on March 24.
Opening Day for the Reds at Great American Ball Park is April 6 at 4:05 p.m. against Pittsburgh.
