Red Mamba loses fight with scorpion

Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon revealed a scorpion greeted her in her bed when she first got to Texas.

During an interview with The Guardian this week, Spurs big man Matt Bonner revealed he had a similar incident.

"It's funny," he told Small Talk. "I first got to San Antonio eight or nine years ago and on the second or third day, I was in my apartment and doing a load of laundry. I went to pull the lint trap out and a scorpion jumped out and bit me in the chest. I almost passed out, it scared me so bad."

And while that is horribly frightening, it gets worse.

Bonner admitted he uses the ones that don't bite to scare his wife and daughter.

After his bad experience, Bonner was asked if that swayed his mentality towards small, dangerous animals.

"Eh, I am not too bad," he said. "I draw the line at scorpions and tarantulas, both of which we have in Texas. A lot of the time, if I know they don't bite, I like to take them and mess with my wife or our daughter."

Bonner should be thankful his family doesn't draw the line at grown men scaring little kids with disgusting creepy crawlies.
