NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said running back Damien Williams is no longer on the team and receiver LaColtan Bester will return next week from a one-game suspension.
Last week, Stoops said both players were suspended for the game against Kansas State. Stoops did not specify the reason for dismissing Williams, who also served a one-game suspension earlier in the season against Tulsa.
Williams had 553 yards rushing this season and 1,499 yards with 18 touchdowns in two seasons at Oklahoma.
The Sooners didn't miss Williams last week in the 41-31 win against Kansas State. Oklahoma ran for 301 yards. Brennan Clay had 200 on a career-high 31 carries.
