Rays trainer Ron Porterfield will work All-Star Game

Rays head athletic trainer Ron Porterfield was selected to work the MLB All-Star Game for the American League, the league announced Thursday.
Porterfield, who has held his current position since 2006, was one of two head athletic trainers selected to manager Jim Leyland's staff, along with the Boston Red Sox's Rick Jameyson.
New York Mets head trainer Ray Ramirez and Washington Nationals head athletic trainer Lee Kuntz were selected for the National League squad under manager Bruce Bochy.
The All-Star Game will be held July 16 at Citi Field.
