Reliever Michael Kohn is joining the Tampa Bay Rays.
The team announced the signing of the right-hander to a one-year major-league contract Thursday, which brings Tampa Bay's 40-man roster to its full capacity.
Kohn, 28, made the Los Angeles Angels' Opening Day roster this season and produced a 3.04 ERA in 25 appearances before he was optioned in June. Selected by the Angels in the 13th round of the 2008 amateur draft, he made his major-league debut on July 26, 2010, and has produced a 5-6 record with a 3.67 ERA in 110 1/3 innings with the Angels over four seasons.
