NEW YORK (AP) -- Two minor league pitchers have been suspended for 50 games without pay for violating the minor league drug prevention and treatment program.
The suspensions of Lenny Linsky of the Tampa Bay Rays organization and free agent Aaron Gonzales were announced Thursday by the baseball commissioner's office. For both players, this was a second positive test for a drug of abuse.
Linsky is on the roster of the Double-A Montgomery Biscuits of the Southern League. His suspension takes effect immediately.
Gonzales' suspension begins once he signs with another major league organization.
