Rays' Longoria watches birth of son from Tokyo on FaceTime
Evan Longoria cherished one of life's greatest moments with an assist from technology.
The Tampa Bay Rays third baseman is in Japan with Major League Baseball players as part of the All-Star Series. Still, he witnessed the birth of his second child, Nash Harrison Longoria, on Saturday with help from FaceTime on his cellphone. Evan's fiancee, Jaime Edmondson, delivered the healthy 6-pound, 7-ounce boy in Arizona as the Rays' star watched from the Tokyo Dome.
And how's this for poetry? The proud father smacked a home run in the sixth inning of a 6-1 victory over Samurai Japan on Sunday.
That's a weekend to remember.
