ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Rays have activated catcher Jose Lobaton from the 15-day disabled list and optioned catcher Chris Gimenez to Triple-A Durham.
The moves were announced before Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Lobaton missed 41 games with right shoulder soreness.
Also, Tampa Bay outfielder Desmond Jennings, on the 15-day DL due to a sprained left knee, could start a minor league rehab assignment in the next few days.
Rays reliever Kyle Farnsworth, out with a strained right elbow, had a 25-pitch bullpen session.
