The latest team to reportedly throw their hat into the ring for Shin-Soo Choo's services are the Texas Rangers.

According to CBSSports.com, the Rangers have more interest in the former Red, Choo, than they do Jacoby Ellsbury who is another big name free agent outfielder.

If the Rangers lose outfielder Nelson Cruz, as many believe they will, then Choo should become the top prospect on the Ranger's radar.

A person connected with the Rangers has said the team is not likely to be able to nab Choo if he goes for the type of money agent Scott Boras has alluded to.

Choo had an outstanding year with the Cincinnati Reds batting .285 with 21 home runs. He finished second behind teammate Joey Votto in OBP with a .423 clip.

As we reported before, the Reds have made a qualifying offer for Choo and would greatly like to bring back the South Korean outfielder.

Other teams to show interest thus far are the New York Yankees and New York Mets.
