The Texas Rangers will spread their wings across the Metroplex as their annual winter caravan schedule was released Tuesday.
The caravan will make 13 stops at different Academy stores, with the first one in the area coming Jan. 10 when Jurickson Profar and Shin-Soo Choo make a stop at the Denton Academy.
Texas players will also make appearances at Academy stores in Tyler, Arlington, Fort Worth, McKinney, Mesquite, Cedar Park, Selma, Waco, Wichita Falls, Abilene and Garland.
In addition to the Academy stops the Rangers will have events at two of their minor-league affiliates.
The Rangers will head to Round Rock Jan. 15 for an event at the United Heritage Conference Center. Tickets for the luncheon are $40 and manager Jeff Banister will attend along with Elvis Andrus, Robinson Chirinos and Derek Holland.
Holland, Tanner Scheppers, Matt Harrison and Shawn Tolleson are part of the Texas contingent that will be at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco Jan. 31 for a free event.
