The Texas Rangers sent left-hander Aaron Poreda to Triple A Round Rock to make room for Wednesday starter Joe Saunders.

Poreda was 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA in 15 appearances for Texas this season. He struck out the only batter he faced in Tuesday'€™s loss to Minnesota. Poreda had allowed one earned run in five-straight appearances before Tuesday, seeing his ERA jump from 0.00 to 3.46.

Saunders made one start for Texas in April and was injured in that game, suffering a stress fracture in his ankle after taking a line drive off it in a game against Tampa Bay.

Saunders made four rehab starts, going a combined 0-1 with a 3.80 ERA in starts for Frisco and Round Rock.
