Right-hander Logan Verrett, who was picked up on a waiver claim and made the Opening Day roster for the Texas Rangers, has been returned to the New York Mets organization.

Verrett was a Rule 5 pick by Baltimore and then picked up on waivers by the Rangers on April 2. He was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA in four appearances with the Rangers before being designated for assignment April 24. By rule he was required to be offered back to the Mets after he passed through waivers.

The Mets have assigned the Baylor product and Arlington resident to their Triple A team.
