BOSTON — The Texas Rangers have used their Monday off day to make a switch in their starting rotation.

Texas is flipping left-hander Matt Harrison and right-hander Yu Darvish, with Darvish starting Thursday against Detroit and Harrison Friday.

The move allows the Rangers to break up left-handers Derek Holland and Harrison. Holland and Harrison had started back-to-back the first two times through the rotation.

The move also means that Darvish will start Tuesday against the New York Yankees at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
