Tom Grieve -- former Texas Rangers outfielder, general manager and current analyst for FOX Sports Southwest broadcasts -- also has this on his resumé from his days as a GM: He appeared in the original video for The Ramones' 1994 version of The Who's "Substitute."

The bit of trivia was rendered more obscure because Grieve's short cameo at the end was cut when a less explicit version replaced the original. Indeed, a substitute. It seems that the problem with Grieve's role is that he's wielding a rather large machine gun (at the 3:51 mark).

Grieve was at the tail end of his 10-year run as Rangers GM at the time he participated in the video. Pretty cool, and nicely put into perspective by Gammons.
