Rams sign Pro Bowler Robert Quinn to four-year extension
The St. Louis Rams have made sure one of the NFL's best up-and-coming defensive ends won't be leaving the Gateway City anytime soon.
The Rams announced Saturday that Robert Quinn has agreed to a four-year contract extension through the 2019 season. Financial terms of the deal were not released, but Quinn's agent, Tony Fleming, confirmed to FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo that the deal will include $41.2 million in guaranteed money, with an overall value of $66.575 million.
Quinn, the Rams' first-round draft pick in 2011, was named to the Pro Bowl last season after finishing second in the NFL with 19 sacks. He has 29 1/2 sacks the last two seasons, which is also good for the second-highest total in the league in that span.
The team tweeted a photo of the deal being signed just days after losing their other top defensive end, Chris Long, for the next few weeks with an ankle injury.
