Quaker State has agreed to become the title sponsor of the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Kentucky Speedway.

The Quaker State 400 on July 9 will mark the first new track to join the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule since 2001.

The Kentucky Speedway is undergoing an $82 million expansion, increasing seating capacity to 117,000 from 60,000. In December, Kentucky officials approved up to $20.5 million in tax rebates over a 10-year period in anticipation of the race.

Quaker State announced the deal on Sunday.

The 400-mile event is the main attraction in a tripleheader NASCAR weekend that also includes a 225-mile Camping World Truck Series race on July 7 and a 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series race on July 8.
