The date was August 8, 1987, almost 23 years ago. I was a 17-year-old kid working a DJ shift at a radio station on a Saturday afternoon in Waycross, Georgia.
As I was spinning records (yes, we actually used records back then) I saw a copy of The Florida Times-Union sports page. When I turned to page B-4, it had a story that caught my eye.
