Projecting the SEC head coaches ... in 2023

The following countdown is an exercise in educated guesswork and random hunches — predicting the Southeastern Conference's 14 head coaches for the 2023 season.

This project will undoubtedly draw a few sneers of contempt from SEC Nation, especially fans of schools who just hired a new coach in the last 18 months. But it's important to note that, of the SEC programs from 2003 (excluding Texas A&M and Missouri), only Mark Richt stands alone at his current program, 10 years later.

Which brings us to this: Yes, Justin Fuente, Nathaniel Hackett, Matt Rhule, Jeff Brohm and Danny Langsdorf are relative unknowns in most college football circles ... but the same point could have been made about Kevin Sumlin, Dan Mullen, Gus Malzahn, Hugh Freeze, Butch Jones and James Franklin wayyyyyyyy back in '03.
