(FORT LAUDERDALE, FL) -- FOX Sports Florida announced today that they will be featuring the St. Thomas Aquinas-Miramar game on FOXSportsFlorida.com via Prep Zone, presented by Checkers. Ed Berliner will call the games, alongside color commentator Keith Sims, and Kavita Channe will be reporting from the sidelines.
On Friday, Sept. 20th, at 7:00 p.m., Prep Zone heads to Broward County for a battle of the unbeaten as Miramar (3-0) takes on state and national power St. Thomas Aquinas (2-0). The visiting Patriots, who have outscored their opponents 127-21 so far, are powered by a fast and hard-hitting defense.
Senior defense back Andre Godfrey (Louisville, N.C. State, Wisconsin) leads a talented back seven while senior quarterback Nick Jeanty directs a run-heavy offensive attack that features plenty of senior running back Cameron Rigby. The host Raiders are coming off an impressive 27-13 victory over defending national champion John Curtis Christian at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Aquinas has been dominant on the defensive side of the ball, but especially up front where senior Anthony Moten and sophomore Nicholas Bosa have been impossible to block.
Offensively, the Raiders feature a balanced attack with senior running back Madre London, senior quarterback Wade Freeman (Pittsburgh) and senior wide receiver Corey Holmes (Notre Dame) foremost among a score of playmakers. Dont expect a letdown for the Raiders. Miramar has knocked off Aquinas each of the past two seasons and the Raiders are amped for revenge.
