NEW YORK (AP) -- NFL owners have been heard on the labor front. So have the players.

What about the agents?

Some are saying they aren't expecting much progress in negotiations between the NFL and the players' union before the collective bargaining agreement expires March 3.

Others fear a rookie wage scale would not really help NFL owners' spending concerns, and would damage college football. A few are wondering if it's the owners, not the players, who won't remain united, particularly if the union decertifies and the players sue the league on antitrust grounds.

One word many agents are using to describe the current situation is "mess."
