Pennymine by a nose in Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) Pennymine nosed out long shot Flaring on Friday in the $67,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
The first two finishers battled head to head through the final sixteenth of a mile with Pennymine prevailing for a second straight win, her fourth in 25 starts.
Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Rick Schosberg as the 6-year-old New York bred ran the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.37 on the fast track.
Pennymine paid $10.40, $5.80 and $4.10. Flaring, the longest price in the race at 57-1, returned $36.40 and $12.80 while Bossy Saratoga paid $6.60 to show.
