GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been made inactive for today's game against the Detroit Lions.

Rodgers is healthy, so this move by coach Mike McCarthy is not injury related.

With Green Bay already locked into the NFC's No. 1 seed, this game will not affect the Packers' playoff positioning at all, win or lose.

Joining Rodgers on the inactive list are several other key players, including linebacker Clay Matthews (ankle) and cornerback Charles Woodson (knee) -- both of whom were listed as questionable on Friday but had not missed any games this season due to injuries.

Other Packers who were already ruled out earlier this week and are inactive against the Lions include wide receiver Greg Jennings (knee), returner and wide receiver Randall Cobb (groin), running back James Starks (knee/ankle) and offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga (knee).
