Olive Garden happy to help Oklahoma OL Ikard's pasta problem
There's a pasta problem at Oklahoma, but offensive lineman Gabe Ikard can't help that he loves to eat it.
The Sooners' athletic department self-reported a violation of three student-athletes consuming too many carbs at a banquet last May. The athletes involved were required to donate $3.83 for the excess pasta to the charity of their choice.
Ikard wasn't shy about admitting he was one of the three when the news broke on Wednesday.
@SportsCenter @AwesomeWoods_50 and I are proud to be 2 of these infamous pasta eaters. Also, we donated $5, not $3.83. #Boomer

@LP_Minn I donated my $5 to the Lupus Foundation of America for my boy @D_Orton33 . Picked it to honor his beautiful mother, Carolyn.

Loving pasta is OK at the Olive Garden, and the restaurant was happy to help when it heard about Ikard's situation.
@GabeIkard We heard about your #pastagate situation. We'd be happy to sell you this shirt for just $3.83. pic.twitter.com/kDGzodptmf
