Oklahoma St. CB can't take Ochocinco's offer
Ask and ye shall receive — as long as the NCAA isn't looking ... even on Twitter.
Oklahoma State cornerback Yves Batoba knows the above saying all too well. On his Twitter account, @Ybatoba, he recently expressed a desire for a pair of high-end shoes like Chad Ochocinco wears.
To Batoba's surprise, the New England Patriots receiver responded with an offer no college student could refuse.
Well, almost.
@Ybatoba: Someday I'll get on my Louboutin shoe game like @ochocinco
@ochocinco: What size are u kind sir, I get them free I can help you with a pair
Batoba, unfazed, respectfully turned down the offer.
@Ybatoba: @ochocinco man if I wasn't afraid of that being an NCAA violation, I would. They'll get u for anything nowadays
@ochocinco: O yeah my bad
Then, as if he felt the eyes of a dozen NCAA investigators on him, Batoba offered one more tweet:
@Ybatoba: Don't worry NCAA, I turned em down… I know y'all were on y'all's way over here. #Sheesh
Oklahoma State opens spring practice on Monday. No doubt, Batoba will get a few remarks about his conversation with Ochocinco, as well as a few glances at his footwear.
Just to be sure, you know.
