Oklahoma kicker commit nails 66-yard field goal
Oklahoma already has a reliable kicker in Michael Hunnicutt, but the Sooners have a player with an even bigger leg coming in next year.
Austin Seibert, rated as the No. 1 kicking prospect in the nation for 2015, made a verbal commitment to OU in May. He showed why he's considered the best recently with a 66-yard field goal at the 2014 Kohl's Professional Kicking Camps.
Hunnicutt was selected on the Big 12 preseason All-Big 12 team and named on the Lou Groza Award watch list. He went 24 of 27 in field goal attempts last season as a junior, but his career-long of 53 yards came in 2011 against Kansas State.
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops won't be sweating with Hunnicutt on the spot this season, and it looks like it will be an easy decision to go for the long ones after Seibert arrives in Norman.
