Ohio State's new scoreboard nears completion
They've only got 19 days left to finish the work, but it looks as if Ohio State's new multi-million dollar scoreboard is coming along nicely;
The Buckeyes kick off their season on September 1st against Miami, and have been publicizing the new video board system for quite some time. It's looking good thus far, but the finished product will be on display.
The seven million dollar project is an HD Panasonic video scoreboard measuring 124 feet high and 42 feet wide, accompanied by a total of 25 speakers on each side of the video board for improved directional sound. Additional speakers will be added around the stadium, and there will be new ribbon boards measuring 4 feet high by 170 feet wide to display stats and scores from around the NCAA.
Oh, and 223 televisions around the stadium concourse will be upgraded to HD.
19 more days until kickoff, and the Urban Meyer era will start in style.
