Ohio State recognizes Michigan's Gardner for sportsmanship, sends letter

The rivalry between the Buckeyes and Wolverines is a bitter one, but when one quarterback went down with a season-ending injury, the opposing one was right by his side.

That man, Michigan's Devin Gardner, was recognized with a "thank you" letter sent by Ohio State's Director of Development and Community Relations, Dave Claborn.

Gardner posted the letter to his Instagram account Wednesday afternoon.

Although the hatred between the two schools is at a high level, they have always held the most respect for one another.

The redshirt senior's final season might not have gone as well as he hoped, but this letter and his class shown in Saturday's game will be something he can be proud of moving forward.
