Ode to the champs: No. 55 car to honor Florida State football team in Daytona
Brian Vickers is hoping to tomahawk chop his way to victory lane this summer.
Vickers and the No. 55 car will honor Florida State's 2013 BCS National Championship football team with a special paint scheme in Daytona.

"Everyone in America knows about Florida State's tradition of success especially in athletics," said Vickers. "Aaron's and I really want to continue that tradition at Daytona in July and give Seminole fans a chance to see their car and colors celebrate in victory lane. I'm excited to be representing my home state on the car for Daytona. We're hoping it will give us a 'home field' advantage we need."
The 'championship' paint scheme is nothing new for Michael Waltrip Racing. Previously, they've honored NCAA football champs Alabama and Auburn, as well as 2013 NCAA basketball champion Louisville.
Fans at FSU's April 12 Spring Game will see the car unveiling and watch a special video message from Vickers on the videoboard.
