EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Defensive linemen Tom Johnson was back with the Minnesota Vikings and practicing with the team ahead of Sunday's game after being arrested by Minneapolis police Sunday morning.

Johnson, 30, was charged with trespassing/refusal to depart and disorderly conduct and was released on $78 bail Sunday.

"My lawyer's going to handle that," Johnson said in the locker room Tuesday. "They're going to put out a statement, they're going to handle everything, and everything's going to be cleared up."

Johnson called his status "business as usual."

In the latest of legal trouble facing Minnesota players, Johnson is expected to play Sunday when the Vikings host the Detroit Lions.

"I've talked to him and we're still collecting the facts," head coach Mike Zimmer said. "So, we'll leave it at that as we go."

Asked if the arrest will affect Johnson's status for Sunday's game, Zimmer said: "As of right now, no."

The Associated Press reported that Johnson was arrested following an incident at a Minneapolis restaurant. According to the AP, which obtained a copy of the Minneapolis police report, Johnson refused to leave the Seven steakhouse after closing time. The report said police had to use a chemical spray and stun gun to subdue Johnson.

He was charged with misdemeanor counts of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

"My lawyer told me let them handle it, basically," Johnson said. "And for me I just feel like people that's in the authorities should be accountable, you know? If they do something negligent, they should be accountable just like anybody else."

Johnson, in his first season with Minnesota after three years with the New Orleans Saints, is scheduled for a court hearing on Oct. 17.

Johnson has played in all five games this season with one start. He has seven tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.

Peterson proceedings: Running back Adrian Peterson is scheduled for his first court hearing Wednesday regarding charges of injuring a child in Montgomery County Texas. Multiple reports say Peterson plans to plead not guilty on the charges, which stem from disciplining a son, 4, with a tree branch.

Peterson, who is on the commissioner's exempt list while he handles his case, likely won't face a trial until 2015, which brings any chance of playing again this season into doubt.

"I don't know that that's not going to happen in 2014," Zimmer said Tuesday of a trial for Peterson. "Honestly, I want the best for Adrian, number one. Okay? But I also have to coach the guys that are here and go forward. If things get resolved and it's a good thing, then the more power to him. We will worry about that when the time comes."

Bridgewater back: After missing last week with a sprained left ankle, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater returned to Vikings practice Tuesday.

Bridgewater is expected to start Sunday against Detroit.

"He's fine," Zimmer said Tuesday. "Yeah, he's alright."

Minnesota re-signed quarterback Chandler Harnish to the practice squad Tuesday. Harnish was promoted to the active roster last week with Bridgewater inactive for last Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

With Harnish brought back, the Vikings released quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson from the practice squad.

Other injuries: Safety Harrison Smith, who left the team facilities last Friday with a walking boot on his left foot, didn't practice Tuesday as Minnesota returned from a three-day break. Zimmer wouldn't comment on injuries. The team isn't required to report injuries until Wednesday.

Receiver Jarius Wright also missed practice. Zimmer said Wright's absence was "personal."

Linebacker Chad Greenway didn't practice Tuesday as he recovers from broken ribs and a broken hand. Greenway has missed the past two games. He participated in the team stretch before practice and did some running on the side under the eye of the team's athletic trainer.

"Yeah, I mean, just trying to do what I can do and really just trying to take care of my treatment and let the staff take me through that and just continue to feel better," Greenway said. "We'll basically take it day by day."

More moves: In addition to re-signing Harnish, the Vikings added receiver Donte Foster and safety Pierre Warren to the practice squad. Foster had spent time on the team's practice squad earlier this season.

Warren had spent time with New Orleans' practice squad earlier this season as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State.
