Eric Ebron's athleticism has drawn comparisons to Vernon Davis. But now, the North Carolina tight end has one up on the NFL Pro Bowler.

Ebron hauled in a 17-yard pass from Marquise Williams in the second quarter of Saturday 27-25 loss to No. 24 Duke to break Davis' ACC single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end.

Ebron, who had five receptions for 121 yards vs. the Blue Devils, now has 895 yards (and counting), to surpass the 871 Davis posted in 2005.

Considering among the top TEs in the nation, Ebron already holds the Tar Heels career marks for receiving yards at the position.

He has announced he will forgo his senior season and enter the spring's NFL draft.
