LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Singleton had 15 points Saturday night and Florida State defeated Loyola Marymount 74-63.

Bernard James had 11 points and nine rebounds in just 17 minutes, and Deividas Dulkys had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Seminoles (9-2). Michael Snaer added 10 points for Florida State, which led 51-50 with 8:36 left before going on a 15-6 run to put it out of reach.

Drew Viney led all scorers with 16 points and nine rebounds for the Lions (6-6). Larry Davis added 13 points and Vernon Teel had 12 points and seven assists.

Loyola Marymount shot 47 percent from the field, the highest total against the Seminoles this season. Florida State entered the game leading the nation in field-goal percentage defense, allowing 32.5 percent.

The Lions were outrebounded for the first time all season, as FSU owned a 37-28 edge.

It was the first meeting between the schools.
