All drug tests from horses that ran in the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita have come back clear.

The results were announced Monday by the Kenneth L. Maddy Equine Lab at UC Davis.

The first four finishers in all 14 Breeders' Cup races in Arcadia were subjected to post-race testing on both blood and urine samples for prohibited drugs, plus additional random horses selected by the stewards. All horses that ran in the two-day world championships last Friday and Saturday underwent pre-race testing for TCO2 levels in their blood.

The Maddy Laboratory's standard protocols look for more than 45 anabolic steroids and hundreds of other prohibited drugs.
