Ohio State remained fourth in the second release of the 2013 BCS standings released Sunday night.
The Buckeyes are still fourth in both human polls that are part of the formula -- USA Today coaches and Harris Interactive -- but lost points in both despite beating Penn State 63-14 on national television.
On the bright side for head coach Urban Meyer's team, the Buckeyes gain some ground in the computer rankings.
They moved up in four of the six computer rankings and held steady in the other two, moves that added up to a better computers score (.8800 as opposed to .7900). That left them fourth in computer average after they were fifth in week one. They passed Missouri, which fell to eighth in computer average and ninth overall in the BCS standings after suffering its first loss Saturday.
Defending national champion Alabama remained No. 1 while Florida State and Oregon traded spots with the Ducks moving up to No. 2.
