No. 13 Oklahoma cruises to win over Stephen F. Austin
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Morgan Hook hit seven 3-pointers en route to a career-high 26 points and No. 13 Oklahoma rebounded from its only loss of the season with an 84-57 victory against Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday night.
Fellow freshman Aaryn Ellenberg scored 17 points to start her career with nine straight games in double figures for the Sooners (8-1).
Forward Joanna McFarland got her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Senior point guard Danielle Robinson had 10 points and eight assists. She moved into third place all time in assists at Oklahoma with 606.
Carlee Roethlisberger finished with nine points as the Sooners rebounded from a loss to No. 6 Ohio State.
Tammara Marion and Decreasha Goodner each scored 14 points for the LadyJacks (1-7).
After starting 2 for 15 from the field and falling behind by eight points, the Sooners hit five straight shots after Hook entered the game and went on a 14-3 run to retake the lead.
Hook scored nine points during the stretch and finished 9 for 11 from the field.
Leading 42-36 at the half, Oklahoma started the second half with eight unanswered points to pull away to the victory.
