NMSU dealt ninth straight loss by San Jose St.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) -- David Fales threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday as San Jose State rolled to a 47-7 victory over New Mexico State.

San Jose State (8-2, 4-1 Western Athletic) started putting points on the board early, as Fales and Chandler Jones collaborated on two scoring passes in the first half.

Fales completed 12 of 18 passes. Jones caught five passes for 101 yards.

San Jose State also played tough defense, holding New Mexico State (1-9, 0-5) to 120 yards on the ground and only 100 through the air.

New Mexico State finally got on the scoreboard with 42 seconds left in the game on a 9-yard pass from Travaughn Colwell to Trevor Walls.
