NHL Draft Lottery to be held Tuesday night
At 8pm EST Tuesday night, the National Hockey League will hold the lottery for the 2011 NHL Draft. The 14 teams that did not make the playoffs all have a stake in the lottery, each looking to grab the #1 slot.
The Columbus Blue Jackets could use a little luck tonight, something they didn't see much of as the 2010-11 season wound down.
The Jackets' chances at moving up in the draft are low. No team can move up more than four slots, and they cannot drop any more than one. Columbus can grab the 3rd overall selection at best. They will end up with either the third, seventh, or eighth pick.
Here's the odds for each team to grab the #1 pick.
48.2% - Edmonton Oilers
18.8% - Colorado Avalanche
