No NFL franchise has had more success over the last decade than the New England Patriots.

Bill O'Brien was a big part of that on their offensive staff from 2007-11, and now the new Houston Texans head coach is looking for another Tom Brady.

"When you coach Tom Brady, you're not coaching with him; you're a partner in the offense with him," O'Brien said told TheMMQB.com's Peter King. "That's the ideal for a quarterback -- someone who cares about it as much as you do."

The Texans have the No. 1 overall draft pick and are expected to take a quarterback. Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater is the favorite to go first, but O'Brien is still keeping his options open.

"I just got in the building," he said. "There are so many scenarios. We draft a quarterback there, we trade the pick to someone who'€™ll give us a lot for it, or we take another position. Lots of time to figure that out."

There's not many Tom Brady's out there, but O'Brien expects the next man under center for the Texans to be thinking and working like Brady.

"I'd be getting texts, calls from Tom on Wednesday night about the third-down package," O'Brien said. "Thursday night I'd be hearing from him 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock about red-zone plays. Obviously, he's talented, but Tom never stopped thinking about football."
