Count Hudson Houck among those pleased with the Cowboys more physical practice regimen that includes full pads on Wednesdays.

In fact, the veteran offensive line coach went so far as to say that he believes that that ramping up the intensity in practice is the main factor behind the Cowboys playing their best three-game stretch of the season.

"I don't think there's any question about it," Houck said. "That's how it was here when Jimmy Johnson was coaching. That's how it is with a lot of teams. Some teams never take the pads off all week. We're not to that degree, but I think it does help."

It certainly has helped Houck's offensive line. Over that three game stretch, the Cowboys have only allowed four sacks in 92 pass plays, a startling improvement for a unit that has been much maligned for their failure to protect the quarterback.

They've been equally impressive on the ground, too, running for over 100 yards in each of those games, the first time this season they've strung together such a streak.
