ST. LOUIS -- It will be hard for Cardinals fans to root against Jason Motte -- even now that he's a Cub.
The former Cardinals closer is leaving St. Louis for a one-year, $4.5 million deal with Chicago, but the right-hander made sure to show his appreciation on the way out for the only organization he's known since being drafted in the 19th round in 2003.
