NAU hosts Portland State, Sacramento State on FOX Sports Arizona in final week
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- In the final week of the regular season, Northern Arizona hosts Portland State and Sacramento State.
Tip-off on Thursday against the Vikings is set for 6:35 p.m., while NAU and Sacramento State are scheduled for a 2:05 p.m. tip on Senior Day on Saturday. Thursday's game will air live on FOX Sports Arizona Plus, and Saturday's game will air live on FOX Sports Arizona.
The Lumberjacks (16-13, 11-5 Big Sky) return home after splitting last week on the road at North Dakota and Northern Colorado. NAU is on a four -game win streak at home, as it host Portland State (14-12, 11-5).
NAU and Sacramento State (19-8, 13-3 Big Sky) face off in the regular season finale. The two teams haven't met since the conference opener when the Hornets got the best of NAU by five. The Hornets play at Southern Utah Thursday night. A win gives Sacramento State the right to host the Big Sky Tournament next week.
When examining Big Sky only stats, the Lumberjacks lead the league in rebounding margin (+7.2), rebounding offense (37.9), offensive rebounds (11.5), defensive rebounding percentage (.778) and defensive rebounds (26.4). Jordyn Martin is tied for seventh in rebounding (7.0) and Kris Yanku is 13th with 5.7. Yanku is sixth in defensive rebounds (4.9), Martin is third in offensive rebounds with 2.7 and Len Springs is tied for ninth with 2.0.
