Northern Arizona men's basketball announced the signing of five players, including four from Florida, on Thursday.

"We are so excited about this class and these five young men who have decided to join the NAU basketball family," said NAU head coach Jack Murphy. "They each bring high character along with tremendous basketball skill and ability. I am confident that these young men will continue to help our program climb to new heights."

Brady Twombly, a 6-foot-5 small forward from Carlsbad, Calif., via La Costa Canyon High School is a first-team All-CIF honoree.

"We've watched Brady for a long time and we are very excited for his future at NAU," said assistant coach Wes Pifer. "He comes from a highly successful high school program in La Costa Canyon. He brings us very good size on the wing and he is a proven shooter."

The four signees from Florida are: Majestic "Jesse" Tejada, Corey Brown, Bryant "Junior" Searcy and Mike Green.

Tejada is a 6-1 point guard from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Fla.

"Majestic was the first player for the 2015 class to commit back in the spring when he visited," said assistant coach Matt Dunn. "He is a true point guard that has a very high basketball IQ and brings true toughness to the position. Majestic is a capable scorer but his ability to set up his teammates and his work ethic is what sets him apart."

Joining Tejada is his current teammate, Brown, a 6-foot-8 forward. While Tejada led the district in assists per game with 4.1, Brown was the district's top rebounder with 9.0 boards per game. The duo also ranked in the top six in scoring.

"Corey has his best basketball days ahead of him," said Dunn. "He is a tremendous athlete and one of the better rebounders in his class. He has a high motor, a great attitude, and the drive to improve every day. He has played alongside Majestic both at McArthur and in AAU ball for the Florida Flash. The chemistry they have will continue and only get better during their NAU careers."

Searcy is a 6-4 guard from Tampa Bay Christian Academy. He was one of the top scorers for the Rams with 22.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season.

"Junior was the third of the Florida Four to commit and is one of the most underrated players not only in Florida but in all of the country," said Dunn. "He is a combo guard with great size and athleticism. Junior is a natural athlete and is a skilled basketball player. He also has a work ethic and discipline that is hard to match."

Green (5-11) is an all-county guard who has played against Tejada and Brown.

"Mike was the final piece of the puzzle for the Florida Four, committing in the early fall," Dunn said. "Mike is a gifted athlete that plays at a speed and quickness that is second to none. He is a dynamic playmaker in that he can score, pass and defend. ...

"We targeted all four of these guys not just individually, but to play together as teammates," Dunn added. "Each of the Florida Four brings something unique to our program but they also fit together in their style of play and what we see the future of NAU basketball being."
