The Superbowl is the single largest sports gambling holiday in this fine country. I say single largest day because the cumulative effect of March Madness opening weekend is right there as well but comparing 48 games crammed into a 96 hour basketball binge to just 1 football game is unfair. Enter the college football championship, a game that will only hope to live up to the massive ratings produced by the semifinals on New Year's Day. Obviously where there's fan interest with millions of eyeballs on an event there comes plenty of gambling dollars to be wagered as well. Offshore sportsbook Bovada released an extensive list of proposition bets earlier this week for tonight's national championship. While they're not nearly as exotic as what we'll see a few weeks from now, there are still plenty of ways for the action junkie in all of us to get the needed fix. Not to be outdone by the offshores, William Hill also introduced a bevy of wagering options for the big game too. The biggest difference between the two shops you ask? William Hill used an O/U for Ezekiel Elliot rushing yards at 110 while Bovada opened the same prop at 165.
