Watching a track get dried isn’t exactly what sells tickets. In 2013, NASCAR is doing something about that.

Meet “Air Titan” — the new track-drying system set to drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to get back to racin’ after one of those annoying thunderstorms. The video above gives you a computer-generated idea of what the armada will look like. Finally, rain has a natural predator.

At least one driver is already impressed. Clint Bowyer sent out a tweet calling the new system, “Southern engineering at its finest!!!”
