MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - With the conclusion of Conference USA's annual spring meetings yesterday in Destin, Fla., Middle Tennessee is proud to announce it will host the 2013 C-USA Volleyball Championships, Nov. 21-24.
"We're very excited to host the tournament," head volleyball coach Matt Peck said. "I think this is a huge get for us. Our track record of playing in conference tournaments when we've hosted them has been extremely impressive."
Also at the meetings, representatives voted to increase the size of the volleyball championship field to 12, with the top four seeds earning a bye into Thursday's quarterfinal matches.
"Certainly we're expecting be a very competitive team this year, and we're excited to show off all the new buildings on campus and hosting schools that have never been here," Peck said.
Sites for several Conference USA Championships were selected and will be given to the Câ€USA Board of Directors for final approval.
