Mooving On: Chick-fil-A cow leaving Turner Field

SunTrust Park will have one resident in place long before the Atlanta Braves arrive in 2017.
The 40-foot-tall, fiberglass-and-steel mechanical Chick-fil-A cow that has resided above left field at Turner Field for eight years will be removed by crane Saturday and sent to New Orleans for refurbishing.
It will then be placed in right-center field in the Braves' new park next month, with an approximate installation date of April 11.
The cow is "going to go away and get some upgrades and enhancements," Braves executive vice president of sales and marketing Derek Schiller told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The move is coming a year before the stadium opens, but is said to be a necessity to help coordinate with construction schedules.
Kern Studios, the New Orleans company that built the cow, will fit it with a digital scoreboard, and in all, the refurbishment will take a team of 20 and 40 gallons of paint.
