LAS VEGAS (AP) Mongolian Ankhbayar Batchuluun has been taken off on a stretcher and transported to a hospital with a back injury at the world wrestling championships.

Batchuluun was facing top-ranked Magomedrasul Gazimagomedov of Russia on Saturday when he lost control while on his knees and fell backward on the mat 55 seconds into the first period.

Batchuluun appeared to lay on the mat motionless for several minutes before medical staffers fitted him with a neck brace.

United World Wrestling spokesman Tim Foley says Batchuluun had ''stabilized,'' but there was no further word on his condition.
