Mo Williams thanks David Stern for Clippers' schedule
Another two days will pass before the Clippers play another game.
Since the shortened, 66-game schedule began on Christmas Day, the Clippers are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers for the fewest games having been played in the NBA, at five.
The down time has allowed the Clippers to get more practice time, something they needed with seven new players on the roster.
“I think [NBA Commissioner] David Stern really looked out for us,” Mo Williams joked. “Tell David Stern I gave him some love.”
The Clippers play again on Saturday night against the Bucks at Staples Center.
By that time, they will have played the fewest games in the league.
Portland will host the Lakers and Milwaukee plays at Sacramento on Thursday night.
The Clippers are 3-2 on the season.
