The Milwaukee Bucks have made the signings of free-agent center Zaza Pachulia and free-agent forward Carlos Delfino official, the team announced Wednesday.
While the club does not disclose financial terms, a league source confirmed Pachulia signed a three-year, $16 million contract.
Delfino, 30, signed a two-year, $6.5 million contract, including a team option for a third year that could make the deal worth $9.75 million, a league source confirmed when the deal was agreed upon.
Pachulia, 29, returns to the Bucks after spending the last eight seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. The 6-foot-11 center averaged 5.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season.
Limited to 52 games last season due to a sore right Achillies tendon, Pachulia underwent surgery to repair a partially torn Achillies tendon on April 3.
Drafted in the second round of the 2003 NBA draft by Orlando, Pachulia spent one season with the Magic before being selected by the Charlotte Bobcats in the expansion draft. The Bobcats then traded Pachulia to the Bucks for a second-round pick in the 2004 NBA Draft.
In his one year in Milwaukee, Pachulia averaged 6.2 points and 5.1 rebounds over 74 games in the 2004-05 season. The Bucks chose not to match a four-year, $16 million offer sheet Pachulia signed with Atlanta in the summer of 2005, opting to sign center Dan Gadzuric to a long-term deal instead.
Pachulia's best two seasons came in his first two years in Atlanta, averaging 11.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in 2005-06 and 12.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in 2006-07.
Delfino spent last season with the Houston Rockets, averaging 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent on 3-pointers.
The Rockets released Delfino and point guard Aaron Brooks on June 30 to clear salary cap space to agree to a contract with free-agent center Dwight Howard.
A first-round pick of the Detroit Pistons in 2003, Delfino came over to the United States in 2004. The Argentinian spent three seasons with the Pistons before being traded to Toronto for two second-round draft picks.
After one season in Toronto, Delfino spent the 2008-09 season with Khimki Moscow in the Russian Super League. Delfino returned to the United States when he was traded by Toronto to the Bucks with Roko Ukic for Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems in the summer of 2009.
Delfino averaged 11.0 and 11.5 points per game in his first two seasons with the Bucks, shooting 40.8 percent and 39.0 percent from beyond the arc. Delfino was limited to just 49 games in his second season with the Bucks due to a severe concussion.
After averaging 9.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in 2011-12 with the Bucks, Delfino signed with Houston last offseason.
