10:45 - La Crosse Logan (WI) vs. Richfield (MN)
La Crosse Logan is off to as 7-3 start and was ranked No. 10 in Division 2 last week before losing to cross-town rival Onalaska, which is ranked No. 1 50-46. The Rangers are led by Trevor Jorgenson, who is averaging 13.9 points per game. Jorgenson, a 6-foot-7 senior, is a three-year starter and has scholarship offers from Division-I Milwaukee and Division-II Minnesota State-Moorhead and University of Mary. Vince Kube, a 6-foot-2 junior, is averaging 11.9 points per game.
Richfield is 8-2 after a loss to Tartan Thursday night. They have a balanced attack with six players averaging eight or more points per game. The Spartans are led by 6-foot-1 junior Jared Noonan, who is averaging 18.2 points per game. He had scored in double figures in nine of ten games with a season-high 30 points versus Northfield. Six-foot senior guard John Johnson adds 10.5 points per contest.
12:30 - DeForest (WI) vs. Eastview (MN)
DeForest has gotten off to a 7-4 start this season after losing to Waunakee Saturday. The Norskies are led by 6-foot-4 junior Brandon Staffeil, who is averaging a team-best 14.2 points per game and Ben Coorough, a 5-foot senior, who is adding 12.4 points per contest.
Eastview is off to a 7-2 start and faces South Suburban Apple Valley Friday before making the trip to La Crosse. The Lightning made to the Class AAAA State Tournament last season after starting the year 7-10, but have won 11 of their last 13 games after Eagan transfer Joey King became eligible. King is one of the top juniors in the state and is averaging 20.3 points per game. Shane McSparron, who is averaging 11.6 points per game, is the younger brother of Brittney McSparron, a former Minnesota Miss Basketball finalist and current Drake guard.
